Technical information should be reviewed against authoritative sources whenever possible. These may include model codes, referenced standards, manufacturer documentation, government agencies, industry organizations, technical manuals, and qualified subject-matter experts.
SkilledCurrent does more than repeat technical language. Whenever possible, we explain what a requirement or concept means in the real world.
Our content is designed to help readers understand what the rule says, why it exists, where it applies, what exceptions may exist, what contractors should consider, and what inspectors may evaluate.
SkilledCurrent values experience. Contributors may include contractors, technicians, inspectors, plans examiners, engineers, code officials, manufacturers, business owners, educators, and industry specialists. Relevant credentials and experience should be disclosed whenever possible.
SkilledCurrent does not publish fake testimonials, fabricated statistics, invented expert quotes, fake member counts, or undisclosed sponsored content.
The skilled trades evolve. Codes change. Products change. Technology changes. When a factual error is identified, SkilledCurrent should correct it and clearly update the article when the correction materially affects the information.
Every technical article should display published date, last updated date, author, reviewer when applicable, and applicable code edition when relevant.
